Original Toronto Star caption: At Queen's park; the St. Stanislaus Polish dancers were among the traditions woven into ceremonies commemorating the 103rd anniversary of Confederation. About 2;000 persons watched a half-hour of singing and dancing by Scottish; Polish; Filipino and Alpine groups; members of the Folk Arts Council. Then cannon fired a 21-gun salute; a flag was run up; and the crowd sang O Canada. Also on the program were 7th Artillery Regiment band and a civil service choir.
