Original Toronto Star caption: Reverent churchgoers crowd around for a closer look as a statue of Jesus is carried from St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church on Mansfield Ave.; in the College St. an Grace Ave. area. The church was the site of the start of the Good Friday procession in commemoration of the public execution of Jesus. More than 100;000 people attended the procession.
