Original Toronto Star caption: Metro's Scandinavians mark festival of Lucia. For the 23rd consecutive year; the Scandinavian Canadian Club of Toronto celebrated Swedish Festival of Lucia Saturday; highlighted by a procession of singing children in while robes leading candle-crowned girl. This year's Lucia was 19-year-old Eva Olson (left); a second-year student at Humber Community College. Legend says that on Dec. 13; longest night of year; St. Lucia appeared on Swedish lake to relieve famine and darkness. Even was marked at Lithuanian Hall.
