Original Toronto Star caption: Flanking two Bugs speedy carriers for Bren gun troops; a fighting ski patrol moves up through a wooded area to attack the enemy atop a hill in the distance. The Star's camerman was on hand as Camp Borden's ski army staged an all-night sham battle; using bags of flour as ammunition. Shafts of light broke the darkness and fireworks shattered the stillness as messages were sent out. Trained by expert instructors; the parka-clad troops were putting into practice four weeks of schooling in military skiing
