Original Toronto Star caption: Building: Turbine hall depicts massive, development at Darlington. Roughly 500,000 cubic metres of concrete have been poured and 140,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel have been installed at the Ontario Hydro plant that is expected to be completed by 1992. Premier David Peterson gave the go-ahead in August to finish the project despite earlier opposition.
