Original Toronto Star caption: Busy tarmac: Traffic has soared at the Toronto Island Airport since City Express, with 50-seat Dash 7s and the smaller Dash-8s like the one above, started short-haul commuter service from the down town airport in 1985. The airport logged about 180,000 takeoff and landings last year.
