Original Toronto Star caption: Toronto's new airport air-ferry flits swiftly over the tangle of Highway 27 interchanges below; avoiding all the traffic tie-ups as it whisks passengers to Toronto International Airport from downtown Toronto in just six minutes. Passengers are picked up by car at the York St. entrance of the Royal York Hotel and driven to a grass lot near the waterfront within two minutes. There; the Pegasus Air Lifts' four-passenger Jet Ranger helicopter is waiting; its engine idling. The flight to the airport is made at about 120 miles an hour; with no delays for stoplights or traffic jams. Passengers are landed on a taxi strip 100 yards from the terminal six minutes later. Trip costs $20 for two.
