Original Toronto Star caption: Now geese fear the food man. The geese on Grenadier Pond have become reluctant to feed out of anyone's hand since eight birds died this week from poisoning. Normally when Humane Society Inspector Wilf Patey arrives with food the birds flock round; but yesterday they kept their distance. Five poisoned birds have recovered.
