Original Toronto Star caption: And they said TV would kill the circus. Few traditions in the world are more international than the circus. The Canadian-owned Garden Bros. circus makes an annual 20;000 mile jaunt across the country and yesterday it put on a special performance for Toronto school children at Lakeshore Lions Memorial Centre. One of the highlights for the youngsters was Gilda's Royal Palace Leopards; featuring the only leopard in the world to walk on its hind legs. They said television would kill the circus. Obviously; it hasn't. Where else can you stand next to a live elephant while munching hot-dogs and polishing off ice cream? Or thrill to the hight wire act or gasp as the lions are put through their paces.
