Original Toronto Star caption: Maple Leaf Gardens was transformed into a magnificent kaleidoscope of color and sound as 17;000 filled its vast confines. Thirty minutes was needed for the colorful entrance procession of 1;054 Congress delegates. The fact the Anglican communion is not one church but a family of churches was dramatized in the processional. Some 500 bishops wore scarlet robes. Voices of the worshippers made the rafters ring as they joined in the hymns in true Protestant fashion. The Congress ends its sessions on Aug. 23.
