McMurtry then holds the treasurer's hand aloft and throws his support behind him. To the attorney-general's left is his campaign manager; Conservative heavyweight Norm Atkins. Asked why he made the move; McMurtry called Grossman a close friend and neighbor who represents the progressive wing of the party.
