Original Toronto Star caption: Bones of prehistoric monster dug up at Norwich. While plowing in a newly under-drained field of heavy black muck on Tuesday; a farmer; living within four miles of Norwich; unearthed the leg; knee and other bones believed to be of some prehistoric monster. Science bent; Grenville Walker; 18; of Norwich; hearing of the find; went out and returned with the bones. Grenville is shown above with the tibia or shin bone believed to belong to a mammoth or mastodon. The circumference of the knee bone is 36 inces and the length of the lower part of the bome is 31 inches.
