Cheering Tory supporters staged an impromptu victory parade last night in downtown Toronto; wending their way from PC Metro headquarters on Wellington St. down Bay St. and along Front St. to the Royal York Hotel where the big party was being held Nineteen of 29 Metro area ridings were won by Conservative candidates. It was the Tories' biggest celebration since John Diefenbaker led the party to a landslide win in 1958.
