International chess master George Kuprejanov of Don Mills ponders a move Saturday at Simpsons while his 8-year-old opponent; Steven Diano of Philadelphia; wonders whether he might just possibly defeat the master. Kuprejanov played 28 games at a time; a total of 47 in seven hours. No one beat the master but seven challengers managed to draw. It was the start of a seven-day chess festival at Simpson; masters will take on all comers every day this week. Meanwhile; in Reykjavik; the world chess championship.
