Original Toronto Star caption: The widow or mother of every Canadian killed in the war is entitled to a memorial cross like this. If he was killed while serving with the Canadian forces she will receive it automatically; but if he was with the British forces and was a resident of Canada on Sept. 10; 1939; she should apply to Ottawa-department of national defence; national defence for air; or national defence for naval services.
