Original Toronto Star caption: An Airport in miniature surrounds John Armstrong; a member of the Radio Control Flying Club of Toronto; as he defies snow and ice at the club's home field just outside Pickering. Club members duplicate real planes down to the last rivet and the models have all the control system of their big airborne brothers. Take-offs and landings are most official tasks for the modelmakers; whose planes reach speeds of 80 m.p.h.
