The instructive and entertaining fables of Pilpay, an ancient Indian philosopher : containing a number of excellent rules for the conduct of persons of all ages, and in all stations, under several heads. The copperplate frontispiece and twenty plates, each bearing three subjects, are engraved by I. Beckington. The first edition published by S. Birt and Dan. Brown appeared in 1747. Translated by J. Harris from the French version of G. Gaulmin and Da'ud Sa'id Isfahani.
