Old friends in a new dress, or, Familiar fables in verse. A selection of nineteen fables made from an edition published in two parts in 1807 and reviewed in the Monthly mirror in August, 1807. Copy 2: Number 5 in a bound volume shelved under the spine title: Short stories. The t.-p. and preface are wanting. Illustrated with copperplates. The preface of the enlarged fifth edition of 1837 was signed by Richard Scrafton Sharpe, the grocer to whom Dame Wiggins of Lee and Anecdotes and adventures of fifteen gentlemen have been ascribed.
