Original Toronto Star caption: Easy rider: Paul Leitch takes a ride in an electric car owned by the Kortright Centre for Conservation. Gasless and noiseless; it can travel 100 kilometres a day using 12 six-volt batteries; although their weight - about that of a heavy passenger - is a disadvantage.
