Original Toronto Star caption: Old Newspaper boys help boost Banquet to Aid War effort. Joseph M. Gould and Controller R. H. Saunders; both of whom formerly sold newspapers on Yonge St.; and both of whom are now barristers practising on Bay St.; are shown presenting a complimentary ticket to the Newsboys association banquet to Red Murphy; King and Yonge Sts. newspaperboy; who; in a bygone day; tutored them in the news vending business. The banquet take place at the Carls-Rite hotel at 7 p.m.; Feb. 15. The profits will go to help the Newsboys association fund; the Red Cross British Bomb Victims' Fund and another war charity.
