Original Toronto Star caption: A 1 1/2-Block-long machine to make paper bags; The president of Atlantic Packaging; Philip Gravosky; 47; stands in front of first continuous mill to be built in Toronto in 30 years. Imported in hundreds of thousands of pieces from the manufacturer in West Germany; it was put together in Toronto by Canadian crew under a German manager. When it starts operating in September; it will produce brown kraft paper; the kind used in paper bags; turning out 40;000 tons a year to start; and using 1;000;000 gallons of water a day. Run by five employees; machine needs 75 workers for maintenance.
