Original Toronto Star caption: Postal-coded letters; along with those without the code; are popped into the correct pigeon-holes in the mail-sorting racks yesterday in Toronto's downtown postal terminal. The sorters' union had called for a one-day boycott of all letters bearing the postal code; part of its fight to protect its 17;600 members from automation; but postal officials say the boycott was a flop across Canada. I think it's a lost cause; sorter Jean Graziano said. Automation's going to come.
