Original Toronto Star caption: Naturalists and Hunting Club members; plus children; picket Durham Region offices at Whitby yesterday to protest the redesignation of Oshawa's 220-acre Second Marsh and 200 acres of green belt land to the east as industrial land. Members of the Second Marsh Defence Association had prepared written brief to Durham Regional Council; which met yesterday to debate its planning board's first official land-use plan. But the group failed to get a hearing before council.
