Original Toronto Star caption: Chairman Hugh Miller (right) addresses North Pickering ratepayers who gathered in a house in Brougham last night to protest building a new airport and a city of 150;000 persons where their homes are. Miller urged the gathering to find reasons the area is unsuitable; such as too much fog or wind. About 2;000 persons will lose their homes and Brougham; a village of 300 people; will disappear.
