American millionaire Lexington White sets out to find the North Pole. Instead, he finds an opening that leads into the Earth. Inside, lit by an interior sun, is the technologically advanced country of Atvatabar. White, though at first welcome, ultimately disrupts the balance of this society, leading to chaos.
