An illustration of a steamboat on a body of water. The name "Novelty" is written on the side of the boat above the paddlewheel, and on a flag flying on a pole towards the bow. The official flag of Ontario is flying from the stern of the boat, and there is a smokestack in the middle just to the left of the paddlewheel.
