Notes

The town of Saltcoats was located in the district of Assiniboia, in the southeasterly portion of the North West Territories (current day province of Saskatchewan).  The Cottage Hospital opened in September of 1896, but was unfortunately not in operation for very long.  In January of 1898, an accident with a coal oil lamp resulted in injury and ultimately death of one of the nurses.  The hospital closed in 1899.
