Sequel to Edgar Allan Poe's The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket. An Englishman stopping in Illinois narrates the story of Dirk Peter, Arthur Pym's comrade. On his deathbed, Peter recounts events that took place after Peter and Pym's arrival near the South Pole.
