No indication of recipient. In his note Arthur Conan Doyle asks [the editor?] to warn the readers that, contrary to what the book cover suggests, out of large number of stories in the "Strange secrets" only one is by him. The Strange secrets compilation included Doyle's short-story "Secret of Goresthorpe Grange".
