Undershaw; Hindhead; Haslemere; "Dear Grant Richards; I should... by Xmas to know definitely about the Book..."

Dateapproximately 1899
Notes
Holograph (black ink), written on Undershaw stationery "Telegrams- Grayshott. Undershaw, Hindhead, Haslemere"; undated; signed "A. Conan Doyle". Possible date suggested by auction catalogue "The Sherlock Holmes collection of Daniel Posnansky" is 1903. The letter probably refers to the publication or one of re-issues of the A.C. Doyle's novel "A duet", originally published London : Grant Richards, 1899. A.C. Doyle refers to retaining American rights and G. Richards retaining English rights for £3000.
