Autograph (black ink), written on "Windlesham, Crowborough, Sussex" stationery; undated; signed "ACD". A.C. Doyle gives instruction to Mr. Monier-Williams, the manager of Psychic Bookshop, to set up a display of books in the shop's window and asks for two books on the subject of Jews to be sent to him. Psychic Bookshop was established in 1925 and owned by A.C. Doyle until his death.

ProvenancePurchased by Toronto Public Library at Profiles in History's "The Sherlock Holmes collection of Daniel Posnansky" auction, December 19th, 2017, Lot 21 together with a typed letter from Jean Conan Doyle (A.C. Doyle's daughter), to Mr. Beaman, dated 7th February 1979, regarding her father's letter to Monier-Williams.
