Queen Saulter Branch, Toronto Public Library

From card with photo: Formerly Postal Station G 1913. This distinguished granite building was designed by Toronto's top architect of that period, E.J. Lennox, who was responsible for such gems as Casa Loma, Old City Hall, and the King Edward Hotel. The building functioned as a post office for 61 years until 1975 when a new post office was built farther along Queen Street. It remained vacant for 5 years until 1980 when it reopened housing the library, community centre and parent-child drop-in centre.
