Text: Dear Dr. Locke, Mr. Vincent Massey writes me that you, as Public Librarian of Toronto, would like to call one of the New Rooms for High School boys and girls by my name.
I shall of course feel honoured if you do this; but (tho' I feel it is impossible) I should like you to explain to the young people that is is not my fault that I am employed for educational purposes. I say this with lively remembrances of my own youth - and I should like you to give them my best wishes for their present and their future. Yours sincerely, Rudyard Kipling
