SINCLAIR, ALEXANDER MacLEAN, Presbyterian minister, author, Gaelic scholar, and educator; born 1 March 1840 in Glen Bard, N.S., son of John Sinclair and Christy MacLean; married 1 Aug. 1882 Mary Ann Campbell in Sunny Brae, N.S., and they had four sons and one daughter; died 14 Feb. 1924 in Hopewell, N.S.
