Original Toronto Star caption: More than an hour before stores opened on Yonge St.; there were long lines of shoppers hunting Boxing Day bargains. The largest crowds were outside clothing and record stores; cheers went up when stores opened at 10 a.m. Line-ups for afternoon movies had to share the sidewalks with queues waiting for some clothing stores. There also were line-ups for cashiers.
