Original Toronto Star caption: Dave Usher's New surplus food store at 1266 Queen St. W. opened two weeks ago. The supermarket-size store is only open Friday and Saturday but already there are line-ups as early as 7 a.m. Many regular customers live in public housing and receive government financial assistance. Usher's personal motto is to sell food for the classes at prices for the masses. As a service to customers; Usher installed underground parking for 30 cars.
