Original Toronto Star caption: Moving a mountain of mail started today as Toronto's 1;400 postmen and 2;200 sorters came back to work after a six-day walkout. Toronto Post Office is giving priority to old age pension; family allowances; veterans' and other government welfare cheques. Next comes first class mail; then papers and magazines. But most welcome of all was the postman himself; trudging up the street; sack over his shoulder. He got a royal welcome-even when first post was just bills.
