Original Toronto Star caption: Overflowing the Concert Hall in the Royal York Hotel; sorters and other members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers yesterday resoundingly voted against staging a mass sympathy walkout in support of striking maintenance workers. The strikers lifted their picket lines and want back to work today; enabling post offices to resume operations; but their union warned strike could be reimposed at any time. Huge quantities of sorted mail are being rushed out.
