About 100 younge people who stayed at the tent city during the summer plan to keep the project going; in somewhat different form; for at least a few months. They have rented a warehouse nearby and will start occupying it Sunday.

Mike Byrd, 34, is deputy superintendent at Vanier Centre. The centre, which was opened in 1969, to replace the old Mercer Reformatory in Toronto, is a therapeutic community, Byrd explains. The residents, 75 per cent of whom are under 25 years of age, live in cottage-style buldings, where each spends leisure time in her own room.
