Original Toronto Star caption: Overcome with the excitement of seeing the Bay City Rollers, a girl faints and is carried out of the crowd at Nathan Phillips Square yesterday. The Scottish rock group made two brief apperances before the hysterical mob forced them to leave the stage. More than 90 per cent of the crowd of 65,000 were girls aged between 12 and 18. Some had waited as long as 29 hours to see the Rollers and attendants treated more than 400 girls, most of whom fainted.
