Original Toronto Star caption: Phil T. Dunning, 29, curator of the restored inn, sits on a period chair (circa 1855) in the famous courtroom-ballroom of inn. Etobicoke's first magistrate's court was convened here and the witness box and benches were moveable so they could be cleared away to make room for the many festive balls held.

Image published in Toronto Star, 21 December 1974, page D1, to illustrate article by Jim Hanney, "Etobicoke spends $250,000 to restore historic Montgomery's Inn".
