Original Toronto Star caption: Unfinished since 1935 after a century of planning; a great rectangle of foundation walls is all that stands at what was to have been Cathedral of St. Alban-the-Martyr. It was one of great plans of John Strachan; Bishop of Toronto; who founded University of Toronto. In 1843; he collected land and money for church.
