Original Toronto Star caption: New container crane in operation. Huge new container crane has gone into operation at Toronto harbor. Built by Gottwald of Germany; the crane lifts 20 and 40 foot containers with ease. It is shown here hoisting a container from a Germanship. Port authorities hope the crane; completely mobile; will attract more and more cargo to the port. Operator of the crane Al Cornett; sits in the control cabin 35 feet above the ground. Machine lifts 120 tons.
