Original Toronto Star caption: Special crane lifts huge new container units from flatcars at the Canadian National container terminal at Keele St. and Highway 7. The containers are big boxes; eight feet high; eight feet wide. Empty; they weigh 3;600 to 5;000 pounds; carry anything from aspirin to pipe organs and are revolutionizing land and sea trasnport. According to shippers; the advantages of the big boxes include simplified handling; reduced damage and pilferage.
