Original Toronto Star caption: One of Canada's brightest minds in the 1860s; Edward Blake lived in this house on Jarvis St. It is now the Red Lion Inn. A lawyer; Blake was an Ontario Liberal party premier for a year and was later a member of Parliament in Ottawa and London. He died in 1912.
