Original Toronto Star caption: 'Great view from one of our oldest houses'. Drumsnab; at 5 Castle Frank Dr.; one of the oldest house still standing in Toronto; was built in 1830 by William Cayley. It was surrounded by wilderness; which has since become Rosedale. Looking over the Castle Frank ridge; the house still boasts a splendid view of the Don Valley-although in Cayley's day the dominating feature of the landscape was not the valley's six-lane expressway but its magnificent river of the same name; then clear; unpolluted and famed for its leaping salmon.
