Original Toronto Star caption: Merry Miller of happy valley and his mill. Right; Alex. D. Bruce; the miller; Centre; the present mill ust off the Kennedy road; North York; built in 1858. contains timbers from the old mill built one hundred years ago. Above; Joseph Wideman; helper at the mill; who is a great-great-grandson of one of the original builders. Left; a stone shaft footing; relic of pioneer days. A penny was put in the bottom of the hole to take the wear. Beside it; the old door at the top of which are the nails that posted the offers of reward for Mackenzie; Lount; Lloyd and Gibson in 1837.
