Original Toronto Star caption: Traffic was slowed on the completed portion of the Spadina Expressway during yesterday afternoon's ruch hour by the Citizens' Committee for the Completion of the Spadina Expressway and rapid Transit Line. The demonstrators; mostly women from Marlee Ave.; say that with the rest of the expressway left unfinished; too many cars are invading residential areas. The group said the completed expressway would mean less pollution from cars; easier access to city.
