Original Toronto Star caption: Cramped quarters for Mohan; the two-ton male Indian elephant at the Riverdale zoo; have become the subject of controversy. Annoyed animal lovers have charged that the baby pachyderm is inadequately housed and that his lack of space is a form of cruelty. Dr. Norman Scollard; curator of the Metro-operated zoo; has replied that charges are nonsense but Mohan could use space.
