Original Toronto Star caption: Schmitt stamp: The main pool at the Metro YMCA on Grosvenor St. exhibits the play of light and shadow created by circles and squares and the transparency that are two of architect Donald Schmitt's trademarks. The coffered ceiling panels make maximum use of light and also trap sound; making the pool area quieter for Y swimmers.
